Dr. Charles J.J. Jackson was born on August 9, 1967 to the late Rev. Dr.  Charles and Mrs. Alease Jackson. A native of Chesterfield County, Virginia, Dr. Jackson is the youngest of seven children, and was an outstanding  student-athlete in the Richmond public schools and Chesterfield County public schools.  In May 2000, he received his Master of Divinity from the Samuel Dewitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University in Richmond, Virginia, and in May 2006 he graduated from Erskine Theological Seminary in Due West, S.C. with a Doctoral degree in Ministry. He accepted Christ at the age of five and joined the First Antioch Baptist Church in Powhatan, Virginia. There he served under his father's pastorate. He later joined the Oak Grove Baptist Church, King William County in 1980.

On August 13, 1987, at 19 years of age, Dr.  Jackson was called into the gospel ministry. On September 6, 1987, he preached his initial sermon and was ordained at the age of 21. Pastor Jackson served as an associate minister at the Oak Grove Baptist Church, and the Cedar Street Baptist Church until he was installed at the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Lanexa, Virginia on December 1, 1991. At Ebenezer, Dr. Jackson served until February of 1995. Under his leadership, Ebenezer ordained two deacons, organized a youth ministry, food committee, men's and women's ministry, tape ministry and initiated a building program. Dr. Jackson instituted a Faith Pledge Fund, where members contributed weekly to the building fund. Under his leadership on the fourth Sunday in August 1994 Pastor Jackson led Ebenezer into a new edifice.

On May 20, 1995 Dr. Jackson was installed as Pastor of the Pilgrim Baptist Church, Richmond, Virginia. Under his leadership the Pilgrim family made several accomplishments, including the revitalization and organization of several ministries, the improvement in different area of the church edifice and the purchase of a twenty-six passenger church van.

On the third Sunday in October 2000, Dr. Jackson was welcomed as the new pastor of the Cornerstone Baptist Church Inc. in Spartanburg, South Carolina.  And on the first Sunday in December of the same year, he was officially installed as Pastor. Since undertaking the Pastorate, the Cornerstone church has expanded to a noon and evening bible study, new office furniture has been added,  he has also organized a singles and couples ministry, a praise dance and praise step team, evangelism ministry, web site ministry, publication ministry, outreach ministry, health ministry, grant writing team,  a praise and devotion team, as well as a football and basketball team. The church purchased a new insert for the church's marquee, a new sound system, new computers, a new phone system and three new church vans. The church now has access to the Internet, and an active web site. The growth of the church has called for relocation of space for its growing ministries and staff, and "The Joy of the Lord" broadcast airs on three networks twice each Sunday.

Dr. Jackson deems it a great honor and highly esteemed privilege to serve the Cornerstone Baptist Church Inc. It is his prayer that God will continue to use him to unify and grow the kingdom of God by the Holy Spirit to a full knowledge of the presence and power of our Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ. He aspires to make Cornerstone a Church "for people to grow" and continue the legacy that has been left in his care.

Dr. Jackson is married to the former Alaine Charlene Harris of Glen Allen, Virginia, and they are blessed with three children Aleasha Chalayne, Charles Jalan Emmanuel, and Alexis Helene.
