A native of Glen Allen, Virginia, Elder Jackson is the oldest of two children born to Helen E. Harris and the late Charles E. Harris. Elder Jackson was educated in Henrico County and Richmond City Public Schools. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree Magna Cum Laude from Elizabeth City State University (1990) where she earned a full scholarship for women's basketball and academics.

At the Pilgrim Baptist Church, Richmond Virginia, under her husband's pastoral leadership, Elder Jackson was licensed to preach the gospel on April 29, 1998. She served under her husband's leadership as Youth Pastor, Praise Team leader, Women's Ministry Co-Chair, visionary of the Youth Praise Dance Team, and choir directress.

As the Leading Lady at Cornerstone Baptist Church, under the pastoral leadership of her husband, Elder Jackson has served in the following capacities: choir directress, founder of the Youth and Praise Dance ministries, founder of the Youth Step Team Ministry, Praise and Worship leader; Vacation Bible School teacher and women's ministry leader. Presently, Elder Jackson serves as an Adjutant Minister and Intercessory Prayer leader. Elder Jackson is also the founder of the Daughters of Excellence Mentorship Program which is designed to train young ladies ages 3-18 in the areas of etiquette and social skills as well as evangelism and outreach skills. In addition to these ministries on October 27th, 2013, Elder Jackson was ordained as an Elder and in November of 2013 was elevated to the office of Co-Pastor.

In the community Elder Jackson is a member of the Spartanburg Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She is married to Bishop Dr. Charles J. J. Jackson, III, and together they have been blessed with three children: Minister Aleasha Jackson, Minister Charles "C.J." (Akia) Jackson IV, and Minister Alexis Jackson. She is also tremendously blessed with one grandson, Charles Jerome Elisha Jackson, V also known as "J5".
